Terms of Sale

Your purchase of the goods specified in this document is subject to these terms and conditions.

James Lane reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, reject or cancel orders in our sole discretion.   Please ensure you read the terms and conditions of use for this website.

Stock availability and delivery lead times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.

Furniture using timber is inherently subject to variability as each piece is unique in terms of grain, pattern, knots etc. When staining furniture, variations may occur. Other natural materials and fabrics are also subject to inherent variability in finish. Display stock is presented as a guide only.



James Lane reserves the right to correct any errors or misprints relating to products displayed on the Site (included after such products have been ordered). 

Where an item is delivered using our external freight company, James Lane reserves the right to adjust freight calculations if there is an increase in freight charges by the courier.


Promotional Offers

James Lane reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, amend, extend or conclude any promotional offer at any time.

Unless specified, promotional offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Some in-store sale items and promotions may not be available on line.


Discount Codes

Any discount codes are provided for single use only and can only be used online, once per customer.

Discount codes can not be redeemed after the expiry date.

The James Lane e-commerce system is only for purchase and delivery of James Lane products within nominated metro and regional areas.  Please click here to see the full list of areas that we service.

By registering to use our online ordering system, you agree to our Site Terms and Conditions in full.


Payment Platform and Security

This website uses the eWAY Payment Gateaway for its online credit card transactions. eWAY processes online credit card transactions for Australian merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the Internet.

All online credit card transactions performed on this site using the eWAY gateway are secured payments. 

- Payments are full automated with an immediate response
- Your credit card number can not be viewed by James Lane or any outside party
- All transactions are performed under 128 Bit SSL Certificate
- All transaction data is encrypted for storage within eWAY's bank-grade data centre, further protecting your credit card data
- eWAY is an authorised third party processor for all the major Australian banks
- eWAY at no time touches your funds, all monies are directly transferred from your credit card to the merchant account held by James Lane.

Shipping Policy

All delivery costs are quoted based on ground floor accessible end points unless otherwise stated.

All deliveries take place during normal business hours of Monday to Saturday 7am to 9pm. 

It is the buyers’ responsibility to ensure delivery address is correct at the time of dispatch.  Charges may apply if our delivery team is unable to make your delivery due to an incorrect address.

James Lane uses an external freight provider for deliveries.  We cannot guarantee a specific delivery date or time and take no responsibility for any delivery days due to our couriers schedule and availability.

Please ensure you have read our full shipping policy and charges here before making your order.



It is your responsibility:

To ensure the goods purchased will fit into the nominated property; this includes but is not limited to property access, stairs, doorways etc.

To be present at the agreed time of delivery, and allow access to the driver.

On delivery, to check condition of packaging, correct number of packages, and examine the goods before signing the delivery docket.

Delivery will take place at the address specified by you when placing your order. Delivery date and time will be confirmed via phone and email 24 hours after order has been finalised and an automated text message will be sent one hour before the allocated time to double check that you, or somebody nominated by you, will be available to accept delivery.

If the delivery driver is unable to obtain access at the agreed time on the agreed day, you will be charged by the contract carrier for any subsequent delivery.

Any damage at time of delivery must be reported to James Lane Customer Service within 48 hours of delivery.

In the event of any unforeseen circumstances on delivery date and time (including but not limited to vehicle breakdown, traffic accident or severe weather) customer service will contact you immediately to make alternative arrangements.

To ensure the order has been paid in full prior to delivery being arranged, deliveries will not be arranged for unpaid orders.


Order Collection

Customers are welcome to collect their purchases directly from our warehouse on an appointment basis.  Please ensure you bring your photo identification and adequate transport for your goods. 

We reserve the right to hold goods until such time as adequate photographic identification can be provided.


Refunds and Warranty

James Lane does offer a refund policy and a 12-month warranty on goods (some items may have an extended warranty, please refer to the individual products). Conditions apply.
